Eat Choice Safety Plan
Fundamental to Eat Choice is the ability for diners to safely eat out, we require all restaurants on the platform to agree to the following conditions before choosing allergy safe and coeliac safe menu options
Check all ingredients for contaminants of allergens/gluten
Do not use ‘may contain’ ingredients in dishes listed as Free From
Ensure preparation area is free of contaminants
Ensure waitstaff are trained in communicating allergy/coeliac relevant information between diner and chef
Have a system in place to differentiate safe meals (if relevant - not required in Allergy.gluten free kitchens)
Ensure first aid training for onsite staff includes allergic reaction response reaction
Restaurants using GF+ agree to have one staff member onsite during service who has completed GFFS training.
All restaurants are to take reasonable care to ensure cross contamination is avoided
All restaurants are required to contact Eat Choice if they believe an issue with the platform is causing increased risk to diners
